Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN.... I just can´t believe that another one is already down in the books! Hahahahah
This week was a little special due to the 3 trips dear Hemrana Stubbs and I took to Asuncion this week to go the the hospital and to receive medication from the office, BUT we are here to report that after a lot of prayers and reposo we are back and better than before!!!!!!!!!!! We figured out that Hermana Stubbs just ended up having a lot of air in her stomach and there was no need to worry about gall stones or fun things like that! Going to Asuncion so many times this week was a bit tiring, but we figured that a good ´ole trip to Johnny Rockets could do the trip to make it all better! HAHAHA
I am just so grateful to be here in Ysapy! The members have been so kind and willing to help out Hermana Stubbs and I this week with meals and care! It´s honestly been so sweet! We were not able to do much prostelying at all this week, BUT I know that Heavenly Father truly answers prayers and blessed us with finding a way to teach one of the coolest investigators that I´ve ever worked with in the mission. His name is Jonothan and he is 14 years old. I met him last transfer because he is friends with a few youth in our ward and ever since the invitation we placed with him to go to church he has been so strong! We´ve just been having the worst luck being able to find time to teach him and find out where he lives. On Sunday we taugh him with a few of the young men in our ward and it was honestly so amazing! I love how the gospel brings people together and truly is the gateway to finding peace and happiness. We´re working to be able to meet the rest of his family (there are 6 members in total and are all at the age to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized) because we truly know that this is a message to help families and as we focus on that we can truly receive more peace and happiness! It´s the little things that always remind me of the blessings from our Heavenly Father! I´d been having super cool personal studies this week with being able to read throughout the end of Helaman and just reflecting on the power that comes from listening and following the prophet. Samuel the Lamanite truly was able to shine such a light on the people through the revelations that he gave concerining the brith and death of the Savior. It reminded me of how we should always strive to follow the prophet´s council and help others to do so as well. Something that Hermana Stubbs and I have been trying to do is help the members find more ways to share the gospel with their friends and to become more comfortable doing so. We´ve seen some awesome blessings that have come from this!
Though this week was honestly not sooooooooooo eventful, I was able to learn a lot of lessons.
1 being that Heavenly Father always wants to prepare us to learn to serve others. I had been having problems with my foot abou the week before Hna Stubbs came to Ysapy and had to be on bed rest and it honestly was the worst, but that prepared me to learn to serve better and have more empathy!
2. There are always good things that come from hardships! Though it was very hard to see my comp in so much pain, we were able to learn more from each other and discover Heavenly Father´s hand through reading the scriptures! We can always find peace and comfort through them.
3. The Priesthood is such an amazing power that we have from Heavenly Father. Hermana Stubbs was able to receive a priesthood blessing from our mission president and I just know that as we act on our Faith we can receive more help and guidance and understand how the power of Heavenly Father works!
4. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO LOVE US AND YOU! It´s amazing to see how we can feel the love of our Heavenly Father through other people! I LOVE THAT SO MUCH
5. Nothing beats a long trip to Asuncion without getting a nice Burger, Fries, and a Milkshake from Johnny Rockets ;)
