Just soaking in a brand new start!

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!

Wow, I just really feel like I haven´t wrote a good weekly email in a fat minute, but here I am trying to make up for the past 2 weeks of little info! Let me bring you all up to speed: On Monday Hermana Tenório and I were in Asunción all day to say goodbye to some of the members and converts from two of her old areas, one being where I started my mission in Loma Pyta! It was just so bitter sweet and I was just so grateful to be along for the ride! We spent the night in Campo Grande and it was just so fun to be with some of my favorite hermanas (hermana rangel, hermana hafen, hermana amado, hermana rowe, and hermana tenório!)

On Tuesday morning I had to say goodbye to two of my favorite people in the entire world (Hermana Tenório and Hermana Amado) because they have finished their missions and have just left a great legacy behind <3 It was super cool though because while I was at the mission office waiting to go meet up with my new companion 4 of my past companions were there too so I got to take pictures with all of them! I then got in a taxi and then met up with my new companion Hermana Stubbs!!!!!!! GUYS SHE IS JUST THE CUTEST! Hahaha She is from Ceder Hill, Utah and is in her second transfer, so I am finishing up her training! She is such an amazing missionary with just so much love for our Heavenly Father! It´s been awesome working together these past few days and just to see how determined she is to be able to work hard, learn spanish, and be able to teach better everyday! I admire her desire to be exactly obedient and how she wants to be able to know the guidelines that we are given as missionaries so that we can become better disciples of Jesus Christ! It is honestly just such a party every single day! We´re just so a like and it´s been cool to be able to reflect on a lot of the lessons that I´ve learned throughout my mission and now pass it down to her! We had the crazy expeience to be in a TRIO on Tuesday with Hermana Cortes because she´s been called to train and we stayed with her until she met up with her new companion Wednesday morning! She´s truly awesome and we had some fun times

I just really am excited to work for more time here in Ysapy! We´ve had the chance of being able to follow up with some investigators who attended an activity that we had in our capilla (chapel) for Día de los niños (Day of the kids) and it was so awesome to see how when we are able to have activities at the church building, it allows people to have more of an opportunity to invite their friends in a non threatening way! We visited Nancy, one of the neighbors of the bishop´s family who came to the activity, and she just absolutely was excited to see us! It´s cool to see how Heavenly Father just truly has perfect timing in all things because she was an old investigator that I had had a few months back, but how after this experience she was a lot more receptive of the gospel! SO COOL! I loved the chance to help her understand the feelings of the Holy Ghost and how we can genuinely get more peace and comfort for our families by living the gospel everyday! We´ve been receiving a lot of support and help from the ward in regards to missionary work and recently have found a few more part member families to work with! This week I was reading in Helaman chapter 7 and it honestly just touched me to remember just how important it is to always pour out our sould to Heavenly Father in prayer. Nephi in this chapter is just so affected by the wickedness of the people that he is teaching that his soul truly feels pain. It caused me to reflect on how I feel about missionary work and if I am choosing to rely on Heavenly Father´s guidance to help with investigators and if I always remember that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. I made some goals to become more aware of what I pray for each day and to make sure that I always have gratitude for the many blessings that I receive each day! I know that Heavenly Father truly lives and that He loves us so much! I encourage all of you to be able to seek our more guidance and help from Him though daily prayer and scripture study, especially from the Book of Mormon! I promise that if you do so that you instantly will be able to see such a great difference! I love you all sooooooooo much! ROHAYHU, Hermana Mendoza
