Hey hey hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful week! I seriously can't believe that the 1st week of April has already flown by so fast and we're just rolling through the year!
This week was definitely a crazy one and I am so so so thankful to have been blessed with the opportunity to receive great guidance and counsel from the general authorities this weekend from our church's General Conference. For those of you who don't know what that means, it is when we gather together as members of the church to tune into the the leadership of our church (prophet, apostles, members of 70, and other general church board leaders) to receive much guidance and counsel to help better ourselves and become more Christlike. For those of you who did not get the chance to tune into the FANTASTIC SESSIONS, I strongly give my vote of recommendation to find it on ComeUntoChrist.org (I think that is the new name of the website) and watch, take notes, and feel the inspiration of our Heavenly Father! What a blessing it truly was to receive much peace and comfort from each of the speakers. I came into conference with about 7 questions that I really was looking for answers as regards to missionary work, family, myself, and ways that I can become a better missionary and asset to the Lord's work. What a testimony I have that Heavenly Father truly knows us by name and that He is willing to help us through the different parts of life that we may venture through. I am grateful for that. I seriously cannot wait until we receive the conference talks through the Liahona (a magazine issued by the church which us missionaries receive for free each month! The May edition has a copy of all of the talks from the conference sessions!!!!) so I can go back through and catch whatever I might have missed as I was writing down thoughts and impressions from the Holy Ghost.
This week we had an activity in our ward in which we had the movie "Coco" playing, popcorn, snacks, and other goodies in the kitchen and the senior missionary couples ready to help teach about Family History. As Hermana McCance spent all of our time trying to help out in the kitchen a tender mercy happened. We have been praying to have more moments where we can find investigators who are truly searching and our Ward mission leader brought one of his friends Daniel who we had almost taught a one point. He is ready to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. We had taught his brother David a while back, but it had not progressed in the way were were hopping, thus he ended up falling back into bad addictions and we just felt that it probably wasn't a safe situation for us to go back to for a bit. I have a testimony that Heavenly Father answers prayers and it always ready to help us grow our own testimonies so we can strengthen and help others.
Though there weren't too many details about what all happened this week, I just want to let you all know how much I love our Savior Jesus Christ. It has been just such a cool experience to see the impact of what happens when we put Him evermore center in our lives. He truly loves us and cares! We all have our struggles, but He is the only one who can give us the peace that we all truly need every single day!
