Para Para Paraguay <3

Hey everyone!

I am so happy to let you all know about how great my week was! I had such an amazing opportunity to learn SO MUCH from President Evans, Hermana Evans, the Assistants, and other leaders in our mission in a meeting called Concilio! It is basically just a zone conference for the leadership of the mission in which we learn what things we can help the missionaries that we are serving learn so that they can be happy and recognize the love that we have for them! We talked/learned about Leadership, the difference between murmuring and having gratitude, how to have an effective division, how we can help out zone, and how to keep the fire buring of energy and excitement about missionary work! What an amazing privilledge it was to learn a lot from Concilio and put effort into applying the lessons that were taught that day! I feel like I needed to remember that Heavenly Father has called me to be here in the work and that I need to be mindful of the things I can do to ensure that I am also chosen! I really liked the opportunity to reflect on that a lot this week!

This week has been pretty good! Hermana Torres and I have had so many really cool experiences where we have been able to find a lot of part member families through our street contacting! We've placed some really high goals of how many new people we want to teach each week so that we can ensure that we are truly talking to everyone we pass by. What a call experience it has been for us as we've been able to truly meet some amazing people and then see the blessings flow from that! One of the part member families that we found this week was through some kids that were playing in a field. We were leaving an appointment with Jessica and her family and these sweet kids ran to us and asked us if we were the sisters! We said yes and then they began asking for some pass-along-cards and pamphlets. It was really tender because they just really wanted to take it to their mom and introduce us! We then went and met the mom and it turns out that she was baptized into the church about 3 years ago and fell in-active for a bit and then her family and her moved back to this area a few months ago! It was SO COOL because she still had pictures of when she was baptized and then shared those memories with us! What a tender opportunity! We then taught Lesson 1 and then challenged her daughter to be baptized on the 1 of June, which she accepted! What a neat blessing it was to see that Heavenly Father is always going to put people in our paths and teach us to always be ready to talk to everyone!

For the first time in ALL OF MY MISSION I got sick :( It wasn't fun, but it didn't stop us from being able to find some AMAZING people to teach and continue witnessing the miracles that are all around!

This week we are going to start doing divisions with the hermanas in our area! I am excited to learn so much from them and see just how amazing they are doing in their areas! I can't wait to learn from them and just remind them to continue having energy and animo for the greatest work there is!

This week I read in 2 Nephi 4 and absolutely loved to see how even though Nephi, a prophet in the Book of Mormon, was feeling pretty down on himself for not being perfect, he at the end was able to see the blessing of trusting in Heavenly Father and understanding that with true trust and faith we can do all things! I feel that it is pretty easy to get down on ourselves and become super self critical, but we need to remember that we are important and that our contributions are so important!

I challenge you all to study your scriptures each day, especially the Book of Mormon and look for more opportunities to serve! The Lord is mindful of all that we do and we must be willing and ready to serve!

I know that Heavenly Father lives and loves us and that we are able see miracles when we act on what He teaches us!

HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK!
