Nothin a little (or a lot of) rain can't stop!

Hey everyone!

This has been a pretty good week and I can´t wait to share it with all of you!

On Tuesday we had divisions with the hermanas in Itagua and it was so much fun to be companions with Hermana Reyes for the day! We both started our missions together here in Paraguay together so it was fun to look back on some awesome memories of all that has happened int these months! She opened up to me about how sometimes she struggles on how to show love to her companion and help her when she is feeling down. I was able to talk with her about how using Adjusting to Missionary Life could be a good help especially with some of the things her companion had been feeling. It was really cool to be able to bear genuine testimony about how this book has not only helped me, but also many of my companions! They have a really cool area and it was fun getting to talk with some of their investigators and helping the hermanas be able to find some more new people to teach! It´s fun too because Hermana Reyes is from El Salvador and we were able to share that in common! Sadly we didn´t eat pupusas together, but we finished the day with some lomitos :)

On Wednesday we had a really cool experience with being able to get to teach our investigator Lucy who has relatives that are members of the Church. We taught her and her daughter the Restoration and about the Book of Mormon. It always just makes me so happy to see how much this message can touch the people who hear it! I love it when the people we teach feel comfortable to ask questions because when we are able to bear testimony and give the responses to these questions of the soul the Holy Ghost testifies of the truth of what we say! What a cool promise it is to know that we never have to fear that we are going to get told lies by Heavenly Father because He only is going to bring us light and happiness! We also had interviews with President Evans and it was so fun to talk with him and just catch up with things! I also got a package from my momma and ohhhhhhhh let me just tell you how amazing it was to eat Reece's peanut butter cups after quite a long time! #blessed we also had a cleaning inspection and as always we got 5 stars!!!

We had a cool experience on Thursday of when we had the chance to talk teach a family from Venezuela about the Book of Mormon. They were about ready to ¨fight us¨ about how the Bible doesn´t mention anything about the book of mormon and how it is impossible that there were people in the Americas before Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas. I just so happened to read 2 Nephi 27 the day before in my personal study which is comparable to a chapter in Isaiah. It talks about a revelation that Isaiah had about the Book of Mormon and how it would be a sealed book of which no one could read and open, except the one that Heavenly Father would choose in the right time. It also mentioned that there would be 3 witnesses and everything. To me, it was a blessing that Heavenly Father is very mindful of us and as we prepare everyday we can receive blessings and guidance in our personal study!

Friday we had divisions and I led the area for the first time with Hermana Farmer, who has been in Paraguay for only 4 weeks! IT WAS CRAZY! I don´t think I had ever experienced so much rain water in my entire mission. The streets were literally rivers and all of the plans that I had made to visit people and some set lessons were just completely washed away. I gave hermana Farmer my umbrella because she didn´t have one and just got completely SOAKED! Though we weren´t able to teach all of the people that we had planned and we were cold and wet, we were able to find one new person to teach which was a blessing to me. I was also able to help hermana farmer with learning how to teach the plan of salvation while we were advised to find a safe place to be at during the storm. It was the first night that I used the heater in Paraguay! Hahaha NOW I will say that I have def adjusted the to weather here in Paraguay so like 60s is pretty chilly, especially when you´re wet from head to toe!

I am grateful to be here in the mission and see blessings that are in the making! Hermana Torres and I have been working on our teaching assignment and it has been really cool to see what blessing miracles really are in our lives! We are going to be teaching during Zone Conference about the building blocks of making miracles! It´s going to be epic and we´re pretty excited!

This week I´ll hit 1 year of when I first started my mission and I CAN´T EVEN BELIEVE IT! Time is just flyyyyyyying too fast! But I just wanted to let you all know how much I love you and that I hope you´re doing well! Something that always helps me to have a great day is when I read and ponder my scriptures every single day! I would encourage you all to read the Book of Mormon Daily and search for answers to your everyday questions and problems that confront you! I promise it will make all the difference in your life!
