Hello everyone! I hope that your week was absolutely fantastic because mine was honestly one of the best ones yet! :)
I can´t believe how fast this week has flown and this change in general! It´s amazing how Heavenly Father has truly been blessing us here in Ysapy with so many miracles and blessings! This week was truly such a great week! On Tuesday we had a good last district meeting and were able to reflect on some scriptures that have changed our lives and helped us to be able to help someone we were teaching or a companion or ourselves. I shared the scripture in Alma 37:37 because it has not only helped me but also those who I am around to always remember the importance of daily prayer to Heavenly Father. He truly listens to us and wants to bless us! It´s been really awesome to see the blessings in my own life! Jessica also had her baptismal interview and passed with flying colors! Haha she has truly come such a long way and it´s so tender to be able to have been a part of this change in her life! On Wednesday we taught Jessica about Eternal Marriage and temples and it was so cute to see how excited she got with the ability to have her family forever through being married in the temple! I love how this message of the gospel of Jesus Christ honestly just brings so much joy and happiness! It´s amazing to see how through small and simple things great things come to past! able to teach the Rojas Dominguez family about the word of wisdom and law of chastity. We´ve been working with them ever since I came to Yspay and though they have been fighting some struggles and trials, it´s cool to see how they are able to recognize how Jesus Christ can help them in these times. They have a baptismal date for the 29th of June! We also had the chance to minister to the Acosta family. We found out that Elba´s husband had fallen 4 meters and due to the bad accident ended up passing away due to the damage to his spine and head. It was a very hard moment for the family, but I am grateful that we are always able to find peace and comfort through the gospel of Jesus Christ and Plan of Salvation We also were able to teach a girl named Iris! I LOVE IRIS SO MUCH! She´s dating a less active member and has come to church twice! We taught her about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and you could literally feel how happy she was to learn more about Jesus Christ! She´s been attending seminary for 3 weeks and is honestly just seeking for the truth! She gladly accepted the baptismal date for the 29th of June and it´s just been awesome getting to touch base with her! She and her less active boyfriend ended up coming to church together on Sunday! Thursday was such a special day! Jessica was BAPTIZED!!!!!!! I can´t even describe how much of a miracle that day was! We were able to see how Heavenly Father always has His hands in our lives! Thursday was pretty cold and a little rainy and we were stressing because no one was going to be able to pick us Jessica to go to the church for her baptism. She has asthma and with the weather changes can be pretty sick. We didn´t stop praying one bit that day. Jessica and her family ended up walking all the way from their humble home to the church in the rain. I was just in so much awe at the fact that they were willing to go the extra mile to receive these blessings! She went into a room just before the service started and prayed. She prayed that she´d be able to receive forgiveness again for everything and that Heavenly Father would help her understand and feel clean after the baptism. I cannot erase the face she had after her baptism from my mind. It was pure joy and excitement! She genuinely was so happy to feel clean and free. We then sang a musical number ¨When I am Baptized¨ and she just started bawling because she could feel the Spirit. She gave Hermana Torres and I both a hug and told us that she was so grateful that we didn´t give up on her and that we believed that she could change. It was honestly soooo tender <3 Friday we had divisions in Laurelty and I was able to go with Hermana Fumero! She is from Venezuela, but she´s lived basically all of her life in Spain! Cool right?! She´s honestly so fun and sweet and it was cool getting to know their area a little better! We had another division with them because Hermana Link´s knee was continuing to be a battle for her to fight and we wanted to be able to help the hermanas to find more people to teach! Hermana Fumero is amazing! She teaches so well and despite the challenges that have come her way, she has found ways to overcome these obstacles! We were able to place a baptismal invitation with one of their investigators named Florentina and it was so special! I loved being able to connect even more to Hermana Fumero because we both share Hermana Wall, Hermana Felix and Villa Hayes in common! It was great! Saturday we were able to teach some awesome people and just rejoice in the fact that Ysapy is a great area and we are going to continue seeing miracles here because Hermana Torres and I are staying together! That´s right! I am excited to continue learning and growing from her and witnessing the miracles in the making! I know that Heavenly Father has a perfect plan and what a privilege it is to be a part of it! Sunday Jessica was able to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost and it was so tender! I love how she was just so excited to share her testimony with everyone and was participating in the classes! It´s cool to see what having the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives does for us! I am so grateful to be here in the mission and to learn and grow from so many experiences! I can´t believe that this change has come to a close, but I am so excited to see what all happens this next one! Rohayhu, Hermana Mendoza
