Not even going to lie, but this week has been quite a GREAT ONE!
Sorry that this update is going to be just a little bit short, but we are running low on time today because my companion's group of missionaries had time today to meet up with President Evans and his wife and then we had to go to the other mission to go through her immigration process! T'was a CRAZY DAY if I do say so myself! Haha
BUT let's talk about the really cool updates form this week! We had Zone conference on Tuesday and it was the first one for my companion in the mission! Whoop Whoop! Zone conference is just always the best because we get to hear from our mission president, his wife, the mission president's assistants, hermana leaders, and the zone leaders! This change we have been focusing on really understanding the true meaning of learning how to find people who are ready to be taught and accept the message of the gospel! It's actually super awesome to see the fruits of finding people who are ready! I know that in the time I have been here in the mission I have seen some pretty cool things! There have been a lot of people who haven't been quite ready to accept the message of the restoration, and then there have been some amazing people who have!
THAT BEING SAID..... WE HAD A BAPTISM ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!! WHOOP WHOOP! Let me just tell you about Hilda! She's literally so so so sweet! I am so honored for the opportunity that I have been given to get to know her and see the love that she has for the Lord! I remember the first time when I met her she was still a little unsettled about whether or not the gospel could help her out or not. She was an old investigator and my companion hermana Felix and I decided to give her another try. It was one of the best decisions that we had! She instantly was able to see just the light and love that the gospel brings into our lives. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING THAT IS!!!!!!! It honestly is one of the best experiences that I have the opportunity to watch. I know that Heavenly Father is preparing people every single day to be ready to receive the fruits of the gospel in their lives.
I have such a strong testimony of how the Book of Mormon helps us find clarity and peace in our lives each and every day! It is with this book that I have been able to find answers to questions I have each and every day. My heart is so full to be here in the mission and I can't believe that Saturday will mark 9 months from starting one of the best decisions I could have done in my entire life! I love the Lord and know that He truly loves us so much and through the Atonement we can receive the peace and guidance we need daily.
