Hello hello wonderful friends!
I am so excited to talk with you all about how great this week was! I can't even get over how amazing it is to be here in the mission! I can't believe that yesterday I hit 7 months of being in the mission! It{s crazy how fast time is flying but here I am now in my new area of CAMPO GRANDE! That{s right I am back in the good ol' city of Asuncion after just being in Villa Hayes for a change. Now I am not going to lie at all when I saw that Campo Grande is going to be a very tough area with the fact that it is very rich and there are a lot of people who are not willing to open their doors to us due to that fact, but I am so excited to work here and to truly see some more fruits here in the mission!
I am companions with Hermana Felix who just finished her training! She is so awesome and is from Rio in Brazil! It's so fun to be with another Brazilian and I am si o si going to be able to speak better Portuguese after this change! Haha!
We had a great experience this last week that really taught me the importance of trusting in the Lord and that he is always going to provide for us! Hermana Felix and I witnessed a miracle right in front of our eyes. We were on our way trying to find a references and were walking past so many streets when we decided that it would be best if we stopped and asked a couple sitting outside of their house. Now, this couple lives in a chuchi (fancy) area and at first we weren't so sure if they'd respond, but we went for it anyways. It was such a really cool experience because we ended up getting water from this family, started doing a CCE and the next thing we knew we have a lunch appt scheduled with them for this Thursday! How crazy of an experience that was! I know that it was by divine design that we went by their house and talked with them. I know that Heavenly Father is truly blessing us here in Campo Grande and that there is always hope of finding more souls who are ready for the gospel!
I am so excited to work a ton out here and see people become closer to Christ! It is fun too because there are a few families from the USA here in our ward, so I have had the opportunity to speak some more English and eat some American food!
Hahah I truly love you all so much and thank you for the sweet Birthday wishes! I hope you all have a great week!
Much love,
Hermana Mendoza
