What an amazing week it has been here in Villa Hayes! I seriously can't believe just how fast time has flown here! My heart has been so full to have the great opportunity to get to know some amazing people here and to learn and grow as a person! I can't believe that with just after 6 weeks of being here in Villa Hayes I am off to learn and love a new part of Paraguay! Pretty darn crazy right?! Haha, but I am so grateful for the time I had here to meet some amazing people and see some amazing things happen!
This week was pretty remarkable because Hermana Wall and I were able to contact a reference that was given to us from one of our investigators and the lesson was absolutely AMAZING! As we started teaching Sara about the Restoration we ended with how we are given the opportunity to pray and find for ourselves if what we learn is true. Sara had never learned how to pray and offered just the most beautiful and precious prayer I had ever heard in my life. I had felt the Spirit so strong and we were all just crying. It was such an experience that I will never forget!
We then had our interviews with President this week which was so fun because I always love being able to catch up with him and getting some great advice and counsel! This week we also had 3 BAPTISMAL INTERVIEWS scheduled! That's right you heard me! We were working really hard to make sure that Jazmin, David, and Angel were all ready for their baptism this Sunday! It was so fun to see how excited they were for their baptism!
On Friday we had a zone activity in the area of Mariano Roque Alonsa and helped the whole community participate in the Light the World experience! It was so fun! We were able to get a great amount of people in the plaza and had a great time! I am so grateful to be on the mission during this time of the Light the World season! It's so fun to see how much the Savior truly is in our lives and the blessings we receive from Him!
I have really been enjoying my time in the mission and especially as I study my scriptures each day I just am able to learn more about Him and what I can do to draw nearer to Him! If you aren't already doing so, I really encourage you all to read the Book of Mormon EACH DAY! Even if it is just a verse no mas, porque si lo hace va a ver un cambio en su vida. Yo testifico que este libro es verdad y podemos encontrar felicidad dentro de cada pagina!
