Hello!
I can't believe that another week has already come by and gone! Time is just flying by so dang fast that I have already completed 6 months in the mission! Can you believe it because I DEFINITELY CANT!
This week was a little different than the others so I'll fill you all in! My companion and I spent a lot of time in the capitol this week to go to the hospital because she wasn't feeling too well. Thus being said we passed by my old area of Loma Pyta EVERY SINGLE DAY besides Friday because it is a place where many collectivos pass by and it goes to many places. My area of Villa Hayes is DEFINITELY not like Loma and for that fact after we take a collective for about an hour we reach Loma and then can connect to the other collectivos to go practically every where else! Haha It was fun though because I was able to see one of my favorite places and see the city a bunch! Hahahha
This week I have really remembered just how glad I am for the scriptures. Each day when I am doing my personal study I am constantly reminded of the fact that they were written for you and I! There hasn't been a day when I've read in my scriptures and haven't been filled with peace, hope, and happiness. I know that we all go through trials and hardships, but the scriptures-especially the book of mormon has the key to all of the answers! It is through this book that we can find peace and happiness! For me the scripture Mosiah 29:20 has truly been such a great help and reminder of the love that our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ have for us!
On Thursday I had the opportunity to meet and listen to Elder Gong! He came and talked to both of the missions in Paraguay and I was so grateful for the great counsel that he gave us! He was truly so funny and lightened up the mood! It was a great reminder fo me that Apostles and Prophets are humans too and they are truly happy for us and want us to be able to gain true happiness and help when we are struggling. That happiness and help can only be found through the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I truly have a strong testimony of it and know that our lives change as we try to become more and more like Him!
As Thanksgiving is this week I'd just like to share my testimony with you all! I know that we truly have a loving Heavenly Father who knows and loves us PERFECTLY! Because He loves us we have the greatest gift of all and that is our Savior Jesus Christ. He loves us so much that we can live with our Families and Heavenly Parents after this life of Earth. The Plan of Salvation is perfect and we can find peace and comfort through the Atonement of Jesus Christ!
I love you all so much and know that though this is the season of gratitude, we can always have hearts filled with gratitude!
