Hola everyone!
This week has truly been super crazy and I can't believe that I have finished my first week out of training! On Tuesday I had to say a bitter sweet goodbye to my dear super companion Hermana Tenório which was super hard because we honestly became the closest of friends after our two transfers together (12 weeks in total) I ended up staying in the area and Hermana Tenòrio left to the chaco, the super northern part of Paraguay. I received my new companion Hermana Amado from Fairfield, CA and she is seriously so so so amazing! I was a little nervous to get a new companion but she has just been so great and such a good example to me! It was a little weird to remember that I could speak English with her but so fun to be able to relate a little more!
I really learned a lot this week about the power of prayer and how faith and fear are opposites. I was so worried about leading the area and having to step up and take charge, but this was when I really just poured out my heart in prayer because I knew that I couldn't do it on my own. I have so much faith that when we do our part the Lord is always there to bless us.
On Friday Hermana Amado and I had such a cool experience when we went to contact a reference from the bishop's son and Fany, the reference, was absolutely AMAZING! She was so interested in our message and when we gave her the Book of Mormon she was so so so happy! It was so sweet to see her genuine happiness!
I know that this transfer will be a lot of learning and growing and am so grateful to always remember that I have my Savior here to help and bless me! I hope that you all remember that the Savior is there for you too! No matter what thing is happening in your life, you can always turn to Him for help and guidance!
I love you all so much and can´t wait for what is to come this week!
Much love,
Hermana Mendoza
