¿How many people does it take to do 6th grade math homework?

What a crazy week this has been!!! Time is honestly just flying by so dang fast and I can´t believe that July is almost over! CRAZY!

Last Monday I had a reunion with all of the missionaries that started with me and President Evans and his wife! It was so great to catch up with everyone and remember how amazing it is to be serving the Lord in Paraguay! We even had to go to the other mission (Based on the boundaries) for immigration! Haha what an adventure! On Tuesday we went back to the mission office for ZONE CONFERENCE! Zone conference is where our zone (3 districts I think) meet all together and receive guidance, teachings, and practice on how to help the people in our area and ourselves too! I loved every second of it and it was so great to be with President Evans and his wife again :) Our Zone conference was extra special because it combined our zone Asuncion with the Capiata Zone!!

On Wednesday I left my area of Loma Pyta to go to Luque in the Marambure area for the day for Divisions, or where the Sister Training Leaders work with a companionship for day to help us become better! It was such a cool experinence to see their investigators, a new area, and how the work is the same wherever you go! I even had the opportunity to meet my grandma in the field (My traininer or first companion is my ¨mom¨ and her trainer is my grandma)! Super sweet!!!

On Thursday I came back to Loma Pyta and my companion and I went straight to work! We had family home evening with a family that has been meeting with the missionaries for about 12 years but haven´t really made any efforts to be baptized, but we set a baptismal date for the family and they are just so excited to come unto Christ and truly feel the love that he has for them! IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!

Speaking of Awesome! One of our investigator´s is 15 years old and she has been so excited to be baptized, but because her mom hadn´t been 100% alright with the idea of her daughter joining the church she hasn´t been able to be baptized. BUT we started to talk more with her mom and sisters and even teach them a little and her mom gave permission for her daughter to be baptized on this Saturday!!! We are so excited and her mom is excited to see her daughter be baptized! It´s so cool to see how when the time is right and our desires are truly wanting to change and become closer to our Savior, the blessing continue to flow! It´s so awesome!!!!

On Friday we went to our lunch appointement and Maribel had asked if I could help her daughter with a few math problems that she had been struggling with. I gladdly agreed! Excited to help out and wow... I forgot that the math problem would be in Spanish and was stumped for a while. My companion, myself, Maribel, her daughter and step-daughter were rapidly working on the problem for 30 minutes I kid you not! I must clarify that it was a 6th grade math homework problem! HAHAHA We finally realized how simple the math was and solved the `problem together!

This week was really great. and I was reflecting on the importance of attening church. When we attend chuch we are spiritually fed and able to remember how much our Heavenly Father and Savior love us. It´s such a great way to also put our lives back in perspective and remember the important things!

I want to invite you all to remember our Savior this week and the love he has for you! We can find this love by reading the scriptures daily!! Especially the Book of Mormon!

I love you all lots and am so happy to be serving the Lord!

Much love,

Hermana Mendoza
