I've Got My Own Fan Club

Hey hey everyone! Another fantastic week has come and gone and this one has been the craziest one yet!

On Wednesday we started off the day doing service and the norte hermanas were asked to wash the cars! It was actually soooo much fun! I didn't realize how much I had missed washing cars! AND it was super funny because Hermana Jensen went to open the cars to vacuum inside but then forgot about how the car was locked and the alarm went off! The security guards were laughing so hard at us Americans!

This was literally our last week with everyone in the CCM besides my distict so it was pretty hard to say goodbye to everyone! But I've decided to give some highlights from this week

Highlights

1. On Wednesdaay our sweet cooks were so kind to make some Macaroni and Cheese, Ribs, Chicken nuggets, and Jello for dinner!

I was literally in heaven to eat this great selection of American food!

2.When Hermana Smith and I were teaching out investigators we were able to commit both of them to baptism! It was such a great experience and I am so glad that my spanish and teaching skills are getting better by the day! #Prayerstrulywork

3.We got to watch a few devotionals this week by Elder Oaks, Elder Bednar, and my absolute favorite ELDER HOLLAND along with the BYUtv broadcast of Be One!

4.On Friday our wonderful cooks blessed us again for breakfast: Pancakes, pansitos, hot chocolate, cereal, AND EMPANADAS!!!!!!!!!

They were sooooo dang good!

5. Hermana Smith and I have been extended a calling of being the Sister Training Leaders! It's so crazy and we are so excited :)

6. I finally got over my fears and played soccer with the latinos!

I had my own fan club and everything it was so funny and to make it even better I scored a goal!!! Papa would be so proud of me :P

Sunday was seriously so great and I loved being able to spend time remembering why I am here!

7. My sweet new amigas from my room left hermana Smith and I sweet notes before they left.

8. After saying hard goodbyes to my new friends, today the only remainding people in the CCM (my district) went outside of the CCM on an excursion to one of the most popular and religious catholic sights in Colombia, through gallerias, we went to a burger place to get burgers, fries, and chocolate shakes, and finally went to a suuuuper tiny tienda and bought some Colombian jerseys and sweatpants!

Today was so great, and with a whole new group of missionaries to come in I am excited to make new friends, continue learning about the gospel, and finish my last 3 weeks here strong!

I just wanted to say thank you all for being you! You all have made such an impact on who I am and I couldn't be here without you! I've been re-reading the Book of Mormon and right now am reading in Alma chapter 11. I've been really hit by the importance of repentance in our lives and how important it is to put aside the things that get in the way of us having a relationship with Heavenly Father. I encourage you all to pick up your scriptures and have a pen and notebook by your side as you read. Creating this habit, I have received my own personal revelation and insight from the scriptures. They are the answer to my questions and for that I am thankful!

I love you all so much! Thanks for all the support and don't forget to keep me updated about your lives too!

Much love from Bogota,

Hermana Mendoza
